This task was a long time coming; I had intended to do it very early on, but, alas, the quality of my phone camera was less than desirable, so it took the recent acquiring of a rather nice camera to really goad me into doing this. I convinced my special lady friend to join me, with suprising ease (it turns out her collabration was just a ruse... but more on that later), and we hit my nieghborhood and the park, snapping away.

Our potraits. I chose my favorite subject, in a way that kept her visage of the net (a strange quirk of hers.) She chose a mole that accosted us while we picnic'ed. (A mole, eh? I should have seen it coming.)

Our Places of Buisness. Mine is the Jewish Deli, hers the SF Shopping Center (she'll probably rat me out on this: I took this one for her, as it was the one she was still missing when I was ambushed)

Our Black and Whites. I like that we both chose similar subjects, but they ended up very different

Our Texts. I chose the small bottles of beer with hebrew labels, she chose a local store: "Cheaper then Cheaper Cigarettes". I believe they meant "than", but to their credit, it's remained proudly incorrect for years. It's also slathered with many other amusing signage.

The corners of Stockton and Post, one faced Northeast, one south west.
The Wild Cards!
These were far more fun, as we were unbound by suggestions and rules:

A billboard for a Casino in Chinese, framed in a way that amuses me.

The street where...

People were clustered around this resteraunt, waiting to buy the freshly cooked duck. The smell was intoxicating.

An outstanding display of mushrooms. That big one is the size of my head. And I have a big head. Also, I don't like mushrooms.

A pumping station on a pond in the park. It has a lovely shade of graffiti on it that makes such an inorganic structure fit nicely into the foliage.

Mine and Miss Al's first experience with my new found macro abilities. I love the shallow depth of focus on such a small space.

Sutro Towers. Sans Flag. Someday.

A Republican Tree. I'm wondering if it votes.

Park Play Structures. Lovely framing, Miss Al, considering this was all a ruse, it turned out quite nicely.

Street art. It appears to be some for of Italian Plumber.
