Jojo (of the orange squash fame in this task http://sf0.org/Benjaminbrum/Object-Annotation/ ) had some raspberry licorice.

I've got a strong aversion to "ordinary" licorice so was a little wary at having my first taste.

Turned out I liked it and found myself instinctively rolling a piece between my fingers like it was play-doh.

And at the back of mind there was a little tickle of a task involving playing with your food.

And here I am with a completion.

I started by wanting to create a pink elephant. But found that the liquorice wasn't quite pliable enough.

So started to make a little voodoo doll and then Jojo interrupted my model making to suggest that I could make a mini-midas from Ovid's metamorphosis. Which appealed to me. So I gave my little man asses ears.

I whispered "Ass's ears, ass's ears, Midas has ass's ears" like in the story. Apollo changed Midas' ears to that of an ass for judging Pan a better musician than him- capricious Gods! Midas would get his ears clipped by a barber who was sworn to secrecy. One day the gossipy barber couldn't contain himself so dug a hole in a solitary place, whispered the secret into the ground. The following spring reeds and grasses grew on the spot where the barber had planted his secret and when the wind blew through the reeds the secret was told over and over again.

Then I did the only decent thing.

I ate him. Like an angry Cronus gobbling up his brothers...
