I loved the suspense throughout the documentation--would the mouse glow, or not?
And was the bunny really a fake??!
Ah, vacations are transient, and this completion illustrates that so well!
Though it starts with an homage to Dr. Seuss, your transcendence of the original fully hit me with "the skank at the bank." Well done!
Slightly disappointed there was no "smash-up over ketchup" at Louis Lunch, but I got over it.
Wow, it's tough to decide! Heather took the first round, but I think I have to give Chinatown and Glendale to C.M., ftw.
The intricate carvings, property line, and "mailbox" are my favorites.
Given that the task suggests a journey, it would've been cool to see more of a narrative of what attracted you where, or some other map of your wanderings. (Maybe I'm just too obsessed with this sort of thing.)
Thank you all for the comments!
Also, for the record, those postcards that come with blank backs (from the post office vending machines) are awesome! I don't think I could've found a pre-made postcard or Hallmark card that quite captured my sentiment. :)
Well done! Bonus points if you try again with an added rule of having to touch one cat or the other at all times!
Beautiful egg, beautiful book, beautiful idea!
The clues may also point to New York City; there are plenty of Spanish speakers, as well as Chinatown, K-town, and other neighborhoods where "West Meets East"; there was a Journey to the End of Night Manhattan in 2006, so the villain may retrace his trail; all three architects he has been reading up on have designed prominent buildings here. (Van der Rohe designed the pioneering Seagram Building on Park Avenue, the Guggenheim Museum was one of Wright's greatest achievements, and Gehry is a Columbia professor, has designed two buildings in Manhattan, and is struggling to figure out a plan for the Atlantic Yards project in Brooklyn.) Could it be the thief is headed to NYC via Chicago?
Finally, most suggestively, this fiend is developing an interest in Catholicism at the same time the Pope is visiting New York!!!
I'm still scratching my head over Love, Relativity, and Free Food, but I'll keep my eyes peeled here in New York for any signs of the tower-napper, and I'll be sure to raise the warning if Sutro Tower appears in Central Park!
