Thumb War by Betsy, Pam
November 1st, 2007 8:22 PMTaking a brief break from work the next day, I drafted and emailed a declaration of thumb war. As the rules of thumb-war-by-mail have never been ratified, my challenge included the condition that the SF0 community would adjudicate who won the thumb war.
Pam and I mailed each other our best strategies (and took pictures of what we received, posting them here).
Please comment in order to decide who won!

A quality declaration, and impressive efforts on both sides! For me, it hinges on the cloned thumb army, which I think is amazing. It's a fearsome force...and yet, I am swayed by the assimilation via hug therapy and destruction via the shredder. I think I have to go with Pam--no, wait...I have to go with Betsy! Anyway, this was clearly a hard-fought battle. Well done!
A lovely completion, on both sides. Welcome to the game. This is a top notch first task!
Despite my fondness for the pinned purple glove concept, the phrase "whereas dada does n0t mean anything" in a formal document, and the most contextually appropriate Mr. Tyzik reference imaginable, I've got to cast my ballot for Pam. The popup thumb army is hard to beat.
Pam's thumb army gets my vote for making me laugh out loud and embarrass myself in front of my co-workers.
Gotta vote for a pop-up army! Though I applaud the straight forward lateral thinking of pinning the thumb - that is after all the ONLY way to win a thumb war.
I can't call on who won.
In the end, the thumb troopers were soundly beaten. As far as we can tell, Roderigo is the only survivor, the rest of his brothers likely sent to Thumbhalla.
Pam the Purple is a vicious adversary.
Modern warfare has changed a lot. Is this the TWII we've heard about?
In spite of the undeniable awesomeness of the psychological ops of the threatening thumb prints and Dadaness, pop-up thumb armies are pretty amazing.
Cloned thumbs are quite intimidating. Yet, how can one overlook that Pam was pinned?
Gonna have to side with the pinned purple thumb glove on this one.
I like the clones, but they prove weak when genetically engineered to that degree...
