No way man.....read the instructions my dear....it says "OFFICIALLY OR OTHERWISE".
I chose to do it otherwise....don't blame me for how the instructions are written. I cannot help it that I am clever enough to think of something simple and easy....
Valid proof, but definitely not worth 125 points...
Sorry, I gotta flag.
Now Eddy knows how BS felt. Oops fed teh trollz. even if I'm 100% correct.
Okay okay...maybe not worth 125 points...but still...you gotta hand it to me cause no one else was gonna do it.
Rubins did it!
And to think, that was one of the "fake" completions, yet there's more substance there than there is here..
Cause the description was made up and a ton of people hopped on board…
I don't think thats a fair comparison… Because those Rubins attracted the wrath of many many players.
If Rubin had followed the rules on this task it would make for a more fair comparison.
UGHHH!!! What's the point of following the instructions if ya'll are going to act like a bunch of whiny babies. Get over it... This is supposed to be a fun game REMEMBER???
I did what I did because I thought it was funny. Not for the points. Who is REALLY going to renounce their US Citizen ship for SFZERO....I mean come on....that's just nonsense.
That's why the instructions say otherwise...
back to the big debate. If I am to be consistent, I would say that this task does not deserve to be flagged. It is a valid completion. We have the right to not vote for it, but I do believe flagging is not the right answer. It's like my Glove Slap task - all I asked for was the challenge, not the duel, so simply challenging another player to a duel satisfies the requirements of the task. However, cool proof of the actual duel garners votes (like the most recent one involving fire - yay fire! now that's a duel!) Anyway, I digress.
Eddy, the questions I would pose to you are: Are you happy with this completion of this task? Do you feel you completed it in the spirit of SF0? Are you proud of it and pleased that it is associated with your character?
Look....Am I satisfied...No and Yes. If I really could renounce my US citizenship, then I would not be living in the US, let alone San Francisco. I would be in some far off country having lots of crazy far off country sex and living my fantasy life.
However, I do think that I've completed this task to the extent that it can actually being completed (aside from making up my own renunciation declaration and signing it). It's silly to actually think that someone would be so into SF0 that they would be willing to make themselves stateless while living in the US.
With that said, I see this as being a silly task that deserves a silly completion. I mean come on...
WHY CREATE A TASK THAT CANNOT BE COMPLETED? Surely whoever created this task understood this and that's why it says
Officially or Otherwise
Eck Hem… as the creator of the task I would like to split hairs…
This task CAN be done…
you would simply have to push yourself A LOT to complete it.
And that is exactly what SFØ is about so it is inherently in the spirit SFØ.
Hence its approval by those wise ADMINS.
You know what… I have been totally unwilling to do this task because I do not want there to be any documentation of me saying that I hate the US government…
but seing as the last sentence pretty much broke the seal on that one I am going to give this a whirl!!!
Alrighty...I will continue to update this task as much as I can within reason. But geez you're paranoid man...and I know where you get it from too. But did you really mean for someone to actually renounce their us citizenship for a mere 125 points on SFØ? (hee hee I learned how to do the Øø thing....)
I don't think it was expected for someone to actually renounce their citizenship, but that doesn't mean one can't take the "otherwise" to liberty and go nuts with it.
gawd you guys are dicks. don't you people ever read?
have we learned nothing?
this always ends in fire.
somebody think of the children!
is there no justice?
no. I suppose there is not.
added about an hour later: it occurs to me that too many people actually don't get it, and I should mention that my opening line was a joke. this post is only half serious.
That rant went full circle…
Well I would not call it a rant… I have no respect for rants…
Hey BU you got a word for a hyper linked rant?
Or how about… strong argument supported with hyper links?
Your just point hungry ain't cha?
…and flag!
Instructions followed or not… you be flagged!
Okay well I did not really flag you but… I was tempted
