Six (or more) Degrees of Kevin Bacon's rock band by Raymond Luxury Yacht

I finally decided to do this task. I had a lot of trouble thinking of a way to make it fun/challenging. Then I discovered Gospel and my life has been turned around! Wait, I mean I discovered that Gospel is a deep dark pit in allmusic.com. If you start with a gospel artist, it is really tough to find a "similar artist" who isn't in gospel. So bear with me while I take you from The Bolton Brothers to Michael Bolton.
1. The Bolton Brothers ("Revered Linwood Bolton Sr. and his wife, Leola Bolton, brought 20 children into the world". Thanks you two. Good work, really.)
2. Melvin Williams (Traditional Gospel)
3. Doug Williams (Contemporary Gospel)
4. The Kingsmen (Not that 'The Kingsmen' -- this is other guys.)
5. Nouveaux (This isn't so bad. I'll surely find a way out of gospel soon.)
6. Crystal Lewis
7. Rebecca St. James
8. Jaci Velasquez
9. Ray Boltz
10. Cheri Keaggy (The niece-in-law of gospel legend Phil Keaggy. Huh.)
11. Carman (Here I start to lose faith.)
12. Randy Stonehill
13. Steve Taylor (Sometimes called "clown prince of Christian music." Hey -- this guy is in 16-horsepower?!)
14. The 77's (Described as "too Christian for the radio, and too radio for the Church." Sounds promising!)
15. Stryper (My heart leaps!)
16. Def Leppard (Exit Gospel genre, whew!)
17. Loverboy (Smooth sailing from here.)
18. Rick Springfield (He makes me wish I had Jessie's girl, too.)
19. Hall & Oates (Yes yes yes yes yes!)
20. Michael Bolton (Huzzah!)
