Plant a Plant! by Crusher Joe, Hemingway Kat

May 20th, 2007 2:43 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Plant a plant in someone else’s yard. You must not be caught in the act.

We made two seperate attempts at this task.

In our first attempt, HK distracted the homeowner (quite successfully) while CJ tried to plant a jalepeno plant in their yard.

We were thwarted, however, by rocks. Rocks that would not allow us to fully plant the plant.

So, for our second attempt, we chose a home with what appeared to be designated plant areas under the windows to avoid the rock issue. And we decided to plant basil in the dead of night. Also, we decided to include a sign indicating that basil had indeed been planted, since HK was afraid it would die, as we have no idea where basil should be planted.

On our first drive-by recon., the garage was open, so, even though there was no other sign of activity, we opted to head to Kerby Lane for a strategy session and some breakfast tacos.

Our second recon. proved there was no activity, and we proceeded...

I would be curious to know whether/how long the plant survived there. Do you know how long the basil remained in that location?

The last time...

I physically saw the basil was in October of 2007, and it was thriving. I think it would probably be safe to assume that it is still there, as the homeowner is a known green thumb.
