The Arcane Ensconced by Poisøn Lake

INSTRUCTIONS: Install a secret message.

Upon reading this, i immediately thought of an ideal secret message deposit and retrieval area. A wonderland of secret happenings, where the message finder was very likely to be alone & have a moment to read. First, I did some reconnaissance, so that should something go awry, i'd be aware of the nearest exit.

Thereafter, i entered into the much fabled secret message repository.

Then, i carefully selected a hiding place for my message, based almost entirely on where it would fit.main_sspx003575001.jpgmain_sspx003375004.jpg
Since the toilet paper roll didn't provide the ninja-like concealment i was hoping for, i decided to place an even stealthier message behind another nearby "women door".

Having located another message repository, i originally intended to place the second message behind the roll as well, but then i saw this:

& suddenly i knew what i had to do.

Once message #2 was in place, i had an odd feeling; a combination of accomplishment & the need to pee.

Update: i returned to the scene of the second message about 2.5 hours after placement & it was gone (joy!). It wasn't in the box either, so someone must have actually taken the time to remove all the tape i used to agglutinate it. i hope they washed thoroughly afterward.

When restroom doors just say "women" or "men", i always half expect the room to be stuffed to capacity with people of the specified gender, like some kind of genetic stock room. Luckily this one was empty.

this one reads "If you're reading this, you've been selected by Chance, Fate, or God, depending on your personal proclivities. Something you do today will profoundly affect the rest of your life" All of which i felt was relatively true, given that each person is in some sense an agent of chance/fate/disorder/divinity/etc. & pretty much every action affects all of everything forever, to a greater or lesser degree.

extra points for this sentence:
"When restroom doors just say "women" or "men", i always half expect the room to be stuffed to capacity with people of the specified gender, like some kind of genetic stock room."

I'd like to get secret messages in restrooms. It'd get me thinking about why they were put there and probably make me at least slightly paranoid. It'd be interesting all the same.

if i can induce paranoia in just one person, i'll feel that i've accomplished something.
