Hm, of course, I think the pool of people who'd bid on it is pretty small...
No, it's staying on my wall. I stuck a picture my boyfriend took on the side of it, so I think it's now a permanent part of our art collection.
Ha! We used to do this all the time when I was young-- a good friend of my parents was a mushroom expert.
Just look for the ones with pink gills-- they're edible meadow mushrooms!

Well, as I mentioned, we still have CD Alley here, and I think Schoolkids may still have other locations in nearby towns (a lot of local chains have a store/restaurant in Chapel Hill, one in Durham, and another in Raleigh, to complete the triangle.) However, I live in Chapel Hill, and as long as I've been here, that place has been a landmark.
Yet at the same time, I try to remind myself that resistance to change would mean death. So. Chapel Hill lives on through change. Good luck to whatever replaces Schoolkids.
