While my shadow was posing for this picture, there was a terrible accident, and it was hit by the shadow of a minivan.

You'll be happy to know that my shadow is in stable condition, but will be in the hospital for a few days. During this time, I'll have to do without a shadow. The shop said they could offer me a loaner, but the only model they had in stock was an elephant shadow, and I'm afraid there simply isn't enough room in my house to accommodate it.

But if worst comes to worst, Speck has volunteered to temp as my shadow. So that's okay.
