Elf Ears

Elf Ears

It's a little known fact that Flitworth's part elf, Please keep on reading and see for yourself.

Christmas Eve Night

Christmas Eve Night

'Twas the night before Christmas, far off in Seoul. Flitworth was ready for the four a.m. toll. She planned and she plotted, eager for fun. On Christmas Eve night, she was an Army of One.

The Oranges

The Oranges

First, she wrapped presents, in holiday fashion. She wished to show thanks to the guard of her mansion. Oranges and roses were plated with care, Then a card was attached, lest he not be there.

The Gifts

The Gifts

Next, for a colleague, a bottle of wine, A bit of good chocolate, and wrapping divine. On Christmas we all want a gift to unwrap, But so far from home, the holidays are crap.

Clementines

Clementines

Lastly, some clementines for any she met. It quite nearly five, she needed to jet. All dressed up in her most elfish gear, She passed out the fruit to anyone near.

Open 24 Hours

Open 24 Hours

The ajushi first, the paper lady then, Another ajushi on the way to her friend's. More fruit for a foreigner, a look of great shock, Then for the workers who were still on the clock.

Night Bloom

Night Bloom

On her way back, for her own amusement, She made a rose bush for other's perusement.

Colour

Colour

She placed paper blooms on the trimmed plant, Because the colour in winter is very scant.

The Gift of Task

The Gift of Task

Now it was time to prep gifts for players, This task, you see, has many layers. She wrapped and she scribbled, She addressed and fiddled.

Mallow

Mallow

Later that day she would visit a neighbor, And had agreed to bring a treat as a favor.

Stars

Stars

Lacking Rice Krispies a new sweet was invented, With strange starry kibble that looks quite demented.

Home

Home

Once finished with that it was time for a snack! Being up all night set her gut on attack. Now it was time for the hardest of all, To give each in her family a Christmas phone call.

Belle

Belle

The parents were first, they were doing well, She said 'hi' to the dogs, Patrick and Belle. Wishes were wished and news was imparted, After thirty minutes, Flitworth departed.

Home

Home

Her poor aunt was stuck at work on that night, So the thoughtful elf called to check on her plight. Finally, gramma, who was ever so pleased, Flitworth managed the calls with aplomb and ease.

Clean

Clean

The kitchen was cleaned, the trash taken out, Just one chore remained and Flit had her doubts.

Gross

Gross

Her porch was a nightmare of dirt and disgust, She hated to do it, but clean it she must.

Slight Improvement

Slight Improvement

On the home stretch, it's nearly nine! "This can't be cleaned!" she let out a whine. She wiped up the floor, she threw out trash, After twenty-six hours Flit was ready to crash.

The End

The End

After updating a task and IM'ing a friend, She took a short nap then was back up again. If you've made it this far, best wishes to you. This era's been lovely and the next will be too.

It's 4am, I swear!

Ajushi's Gift

Ajushi's Gift

The Ajushi

The Ajushi

This is the ajushi who received the wrapped plate of clementines. I assume he shared them. Each sector of our building has an ajushi (whose full title literally translates to "the guy in the room in front of the building"). They keep the place "secure" from unknown threats and clean up a lot. He has a giant pair of tongs so don't fuck with him.

Elevator

Elevator

On my way to co-workers (I hope I had the right apartment!). I gave a clementine to her ajushi and he asked if I was Santa, I said "elf".

The Gift

The Gift

What I hope and pray is her door.

McDonald's Employee

McDonald's Employee

I gave him three (on counter) figuring other workers were about. In total I handed out clementines to six total strangers, all but the foreigner stuck at work before 5am on Christmas Day.

"Treat"

"Treat"

They smell vaguely of Fruity Pebbles so I'm doubtful of their edibility. My co-workers have been drinking so I'm guessing that I can trick them into eating some.

Whatever is on the tiles (not my doing!) has permanently discoloured some and begun dissolving others. I gave it a scrub but I'm not prepared to deal with liquefying tiles.

I went to socialize at the apartment of the co-worker to whom I gave the wine. For the longest time she said nothing and I wondered why she expressed no curiousness. Finally, when a few more people arrived I overheard her talking about it. Apparently I'm not on the list of potential candidates and she believes that the person, because an elf was referenced, knows more about her than she has revealed to me. It was excellent to avoid any form of inquiry and I'm very amused.

Beautiful! And very much a feel of flying around the world in a reindeer drawn sleigh.

I kept trying to read the prose parts at the end as though they were in verse...
