I was visiting a friend in Manteno, IL over the weekend. We decided to work on this task while touring the "city". Manteno is located about an hour south of Chicago. It is pretty much in the middle of nowhere and perhaps one of the strangest/most boring places I have visited. I think Manteno is home to a mental institution, but aside from that it has little to offer. . .or so I thought.

Photo touring made for a much better visit because it seemed like around every corner there was something either bizarre or beautiful. I didn't get a very good intersection photo, but the street signs seem okay. . .and the portrait is of a reluctant High School Senior who works at Dairy Queen. Umm. . .I have little to say of the other pictures. . .softball, a bike in pieces, a dead thing around a pole (?). . .yeah, Manteno, IL.
