Potted Plant Distribution by Gremlin

There is a place in Chicago, where plants live the good life, and that's where we were headed.

Now, I can understand why you might be confused at this point. If you've ever been to the Garfield Park Conservatory, you know that they already have a large assortment of plants. However...

If you read the line "plants in a naturalistic setting rather than in groups of pots" you can understand why Herbert was drawn to be there. This room doesn't have a single potted plant!!! Herbert is a fighter for justice. He envisions a world in which potted plants can sit side by side with their more rooted siblings. Where they can share the same sunlight, and air, and learn from one another about other ways of life. He was ready for the challenge, so we just had to find the right spot...

After scouting several potential placement options, including ones that would highlight his presence, Herbert and I decided that the best move for the sake of longevity, would be to allow him to blend with his new friends.

See what a natural fit he is? There's no need to be biased against him simply due to his lifestyle. I mean, sure, he's not a fern - but the fern room is actually not ONLY filled with ferns - but also their allies (no joke! I read it on a sign!).
So I bid farewell to my happy friend. Good luck, sweet Herbert! Be strong!

And for those wondering where Herbert is in relation to the room, he's basically somewhere just slightly to the left of the person in the black coat.

You have done a great service to the community by saving this plant from apartment life, while simultaneously reminding those uppity ferns what plant life outside their precious little conservatory is like!
I commend your efforts. After some investigation, it appears you had an accomplice. Get them into the game! (Does retro-collaborating work?)
Good pictures, good idea, good praxis.
...it appears you had an accomplice. Get them into the game!
Good catch, valid point, and I'm already ahead of you.
Although it was originally just a day at the Conservatory for my (two) accomplices, they were both more than helpful with doing appropriate scouting and general assistance once the loneliness of no longer having Herbert in a Lovely bag with me finally kicked in...
I told them both that they should join up with the shenanigans, and I believe there was much interest... but we shall see what happens from there. And yes, I've no idea about retro-collaborating... good question!
Wow this is a really good start to the game. Welcome and I hope you stay.
There's been a big influx of CG0 members recently! Only to be welcomed.
Brilliant!
I hope Herbert lives a long and eventful life among the ferns of historic Chicago!
Uh, I kind of retro-collaborated with Meredithian, which I hope doesn't break any rules...
This is a good 1st completion I think we all sense that you will only futher your success in other tasks. Good job.
Indeed, you have rectified a significant lack of potted plants and simultaneously found a great home for Herbert.
Wonderful! Next time I'm there I'll have to see if I can find him to say hello!
Awesome! I've always thought of Herbert as a good plant name... I wonder why that is.
Excellent! A step for a small plant, but a leap for potted plant justice!
I hope he lives a long happy life! Probably happier than his eventual demise at Jewel would have been.
