Invent a New Word by Not Here No More, Insert Witty Name

December 31st, 2007 10:28 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Invent a new word, come up with a realistic sounding meaning.

Use the word in common everyday sentences; define for those who inquire.

Task is complete when someone else starts using your word.

The words meep, flurb, and Dweedlump have been placed in the English language by myself and three friends of mine. (none of whom have accounts on here) Their use has integrated into our circles of friends.

Meep: (MEEP) N 1. the sound that some cats make 2. the word that one says because they are bored 3. The sacred word used by the sect of Pastafarians who worship the great prophet Dweedlump. Used in a similar manner to "Ni" as used by the Knights of Ni. 4. sometimes used to mean whatever the speaker wants it to mean. 5. the battle cry of John Diamontidis.

Meeper or Meepite: N A synonym for Dweedlumpite

Flurb: (flURB) N 1. A fictitious lifeform that likes to consume sushi. 2. A rather unpleasant curse word. 3. The random word of choice for Izzy Miller.

Dweedlump: (dWEED-lump) N 1. The prophet for the followers of meep, kind of like the Buddha.

Meaniac: Mya Hidy's word meaning: one who is a zealot to a mean cause.

Rickified: To be converted to the evil ways of the principal of children's day school.

Splarf: To eat something way to fast and then become sick.

C-Rap: a word for the unfortunately terrible rap "music" of the current mainstream. Not to be confused with rap and hip-hop in general. We also know that this is a nickname for cristian rap.

Is that a Flurb in the second photo? Or Dweedlump? Either way, it's cool!

And I'm sorry to say that my friend Andy and I have been using Meep for decades.

well, we created it without knowing that anyone else had before.

No, that is the Flying Spaghetti monster, the patron deity of Dweedlump and the meepites. (no I didn't invent him. He also has a published holy book, the holy noodle.)

Flying Spaghetti Monster always gets a vote.

Ever notice that if you stuck the FSM on top of a guy, he'd look like Cthulhu?

I know, I've got Cthulhu on the brain right now.... Flurb.

I've never actually heard a cat say "meep" :D
I have heard a lot of people use the word, though.
My friends use it all the time.
Maybe all the teens in the world came up with it simultaneously.
Anyways, here's a nice shiny vote for you!
