INSTRUCTIONS: Don't go to work. Don't go to school.

When I checked the school website this morning, as I was advised to yesterday, I found this:

I started looking through the task list for something good to do for my zeroday on Saturday, when I saw this and realised that the whole day could be a task. It may not be the best of completions, but at least it beats submitting it on a Sunday, saying 'It's the weekend' and leaving it at that.

Due to the reason of the school's closure, most of the morning was spent outside. I went out early and took a few photos of the snow in the garden. Snow is a very rare occurence, and I haven't seen any as good as this since moving to Bournemouth.

After my sister was out of bed, we went outside for a snowball fight. I prepared myself for the worst...

As it turned out, I needn't have bothered. my snowball easily beat anything she threw at me.

We then went out to Queen's Park, where there was a much larger supply of snow.

This time, we eventually called it a draw.

My snowball earlier was nothing compared to one we found at the bottom of a hill. We tried rolling it further, but it was too heavy.

We got home just in time, because hail started to fall soon afterwards.

Once inside again, I started looking for something to do. I had some maths homework, but in the spirit of the task, it remains untouched.

I then wrote a bit of a story I have been working on for a while, before returning to the SF0 task list. Finding one I thought I could do well, I gathered together some Fimo and old pipe cleaners, which were bought in a shop in Banbury around six years ago. The exact processes I embarked upon will be explained in a later praxis.

One other SF0-related thing I was able to do today was finally discarding a small piece of paper which has been attached to the corner of my laptop for a few days. Again, this will be explained fully in a later praxis.

My last task before writing up this praxis was giving my fish their evening meal.

I hope that this is an acceptable account of a day not spent at school, when normally it would have been. I leave it to your judgement.

Snowball fighting instead of school, hell yes. And "putting footprints in the barrel" is great.

Heehee. Coming originally from northern Minnesota I do have to make a snide remark about how that amount of snow would never lead to a school closure where I'm from - it's closer to the amount we expect in May. But, I'm glad to see you made the most of it.

Lucky.

We got half a day off, with barely any snow (Long distance contract buses demanded a closure 'cause they wouldn't run later) and know what? Both my teachers for the lessons I missed were off anyway...
