Plant Update 4/16/08
someone please help me figure out how to upload mp3 thingers.


I'm music student at North Central College. It's located in a town where soccer moms drive their kids to school in Hummers.

Luckily for me, I don't live on campus (otherwise I would have developed a drinking problem by now).

When I am on campus, I'm usually in a piano practice room of the music building, which was built in the early 1900's. The building is so old and creepy that it's supposed to be haunted, although I have not had any late night ghost visits when i've been there alone.


I find the practice rooms to be a place where I start to go slowly mad, not only because I spend a ridiculous about of hours their, but because its a tiny room with a piano and a radiator.

Therefore... a place that needs life.

My potted plant MISSION started with one little plant. A cute little purple flowering thinger. I placed him in the practice room with the nicest piano, because its my favorite room. duh.

After Purple flower plant was there a couple days, i started overhearing comments about it. Like "where did that come from?" "This plant is helping me play Debussy" and "Kassi, did you do that?"

After that, I decided that the hallway needed a potted plant. I named him Steve. He is an Ivy. He caused quite an uproar, mostly because I had a steal a ladder from the stage. (well, my friend is a stage manager so she had a key)

So my stage manager friend helped me hang the freaking basket from the stairwell ceiling on a saturday afternoon. When everyone got to school morning there was buzz about it.


As a result of these 2 potted plants i brought into the music building, another plant appeared.....It seems I inspired someone else to contribute a plant (even though they aren't an SF0 member)


As a side note------- I am going to keep posting updates about the plants, because I see them all the time. So come back for updates on how the plants are doing, new reactions and other people who have decided to join in my plant movement.
