Buy A Stranger A Drink by Eddie Arlette
July 25th, 2006 12:29 AM
Saturday I was out with my friends at the Faux Girls show at Marlena's in Hayes Valley. Among the crowd was a bridal party -- and there's nothing like a bunch of drunken straight women to liven up a drag show.
Since the blushing bride-to-be didn't look nearly drunk enough, I bought her a drink -- the house specialty that's a mixture of butterscotch schnapps and Bailey's Irish Cream and looks like... well use your imagination....
The bride was flattered and I got a chance to talk to the rest of the bachelorettes -- and I even got one of the stickers they were using to keep track of how many drinks the bride had had. (By the end of the evening, the bride looked like NASCAR driver.)
