Bring the Sound to Life by KenDragon

November 14th, 2006 11:48 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: We've created a lot of sound, now let's create a lot of site and pair the two. Make a video expressing any of the Audio Clips that have been uploaded to SF0.

Mashup, Aesthemati-Corporate Anthem, Instant music - the list goes on and on.

Ok, this was a tough one. I had an idea for a task which consisted of creating a video that was an artistic reflection of what has been uploaded in .mp3 format.

I chose the only Aesthemeti-Corporate Anthem for one reason only, it was a submission that I had done. The theme of the video lent itself easily to the song that I had recorded. As this is The University of Aesthematics song, I didn't pull from any of the other schools nor any of the generic (except self portrait stuff(and then only that which I thought was more artistic)) tasks.

I then tried to fit in as much stuff as I could from the University, but there was a lot of stuff out there. At the same time, I know I missed a lot because I couldn't get it to mesh well with what I was trying for in the video. My only fear is that someone will take not getting into the video as a slight on what they've produced, when it most probably didn't make it because I'm not really that trained of a film maker.

Also, let me know if there's anything in the video that You don't want included. I know that posting to this sight does not mean you want any of what you presented uploaded to youtube, so if you let me know what piece you don't want in the video, message me and I'll replace it with something.

Anyway, here it is.

that was fun to watch.

but saul, if you vote for it before it's approved, it will always just be 2 points for the vote.

This video made me feel more like we're a winning high school sports team at an end-of-the-season banquet. Go Artists!

That was silly of me, but it was nice to see my votes get a boost. Thanks, dearest engineers.

Thanks for your posts! The one thing I've always liked better than completing a project is getting a response to it. It's the thing that makes my glad i'm part of sf0.
