Shopping Commentator by Kyle CROCODILE, Bex.

June 20th, 2007 11:07 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Go to a grocery store, bookstore, mall etc. and leave commentary on various items throughout the store in the form of post-it notes or any other method you choose. Wit is recommended. Try to capture shoppers' reactions as they read your comments.

Bonus points if your commentary convinces someone to buy something or obviously makes them decide not to buy it.

Big Lots. Home of random, cheap stuff. Messy and easy to get away with acting like a couple of hoodlums.
Yet for an ADD kid and a stoner, it was a little tough to stay on-task in the face of so much stimulation. How to simultaneously attempt to write lables, adhere them, photograph them, be witty, sell/anti-sell the products, capture shopper's reactions, and shop? Well we did our best, but may have been most successful with the shopping.
The address labels were small, making them harder to see. But i think this is a virtue in that the labels could go undetected by management for a long time (plus they're not removable).
This task won't end here. I've got a strip of address lables in my wallet from now on. Practice makes perfect...

Mini cow tails? That's just not right.

I at first thought that the ax had a "pro-suicide" label on it.

I vote because the labels are not removable. Nefarious.
