INSTRUCTIONS: Rearrage books on either your or someone else's bookshelf to tell a story, write haiku, or make a statement. The inspiration for this task is the most whimsical of artists, Nina Katchadourian. More examples there.

I was on vacation in Moscow, Idaho for a while this summer. Being bored one day, we decided to make a trip to the only thrift store in town, Goodwill. I had some amazing finds, including my very own pair of violently plaid pants. As I had finished my real shopping, I decided to browse the book section while the other ladies were trying on clothes.
I was drawn to a book entitled "Zombification." Just sitting on the shelf, it invited me to pair it with others to create some macabre imagery. And so I did. In case the photos aren't readable, here's how the stack reads:
The Window
Someone in the House
The Vampire Tapestry
Contagion
Zombification
Lust For Life

I also made a slightly different stack that reads:
The Vampire Tapestry
Wounds
Contagion
Zombification
Lust For Life

I like the second one better. A little more macabre.
