Down with Animate Elitism! by Orange Rose hopes of peace

When I first signed up for this task, I thought I would talk about my bag. It's a great bag, absolutely covered in patches of varying degrees of coolness. I'd talk about finding it one fortuitous day at a thrift store, and hand sewing all the patches on.
But then, came the day, oh frabjous day!
This day, coincidentally, was yesterday. I was sitting in my boyfriend's room, watching X-Men, totally unaware of the imminent bliss. My boyfriend looked over at me, and asked me, not-so-nonchalantly,
"So, what's your philosophy if you have a Christmas present for someone, and want to give it to them early so they can use and enjoy it. Do you give it to them?"
"Well, depends on what it is. Is it something they would want to use before Christmas?"
"Definitely. So, do you want it?"
"Umm...yes?"
"Close your eyes."
He hands me a box, I have no idea what's in the box, my eyes are shut. He says, ok open your eyes. And there, in all it's yellow and white glory is......a brand new Kodak EasyShare C533. Oh my freaking goodness, talk about a cameragasm. At this point, all I can say is "oh my gosh" and squeals of pure delight. Apparently, he had no idea how happy this would make me, and had simply heard me saying I was thinking about getting a little camera 'cause I was so sick of not having one.
So, we pull it out of the box, and take a couple inaugural pictures. Ahhh, bliss.
That night, I thought I would name my new little guy Sven. Sven's a nice name, and I always name my technology. My computer's name is Squishy, my phone's name is Nemo. But it wasn't until this morning that I thought of the ultimate name for my camera: Captain Pete.
It comes from a Logan Whitehurst song called "Captain Pete's Slideshow." Really, what could be better than that, a funny name that also honors the late Logan Whitehurst.
So, that's my story of how I fell in love with Captain Pete.

A very thoughtful gift.
Can't wait to see Captain Pete lend his skills to your tasking endeavors.
