Find something. Write about it. by Orange Rose hopes of peace

On my college campus there is a food court with various fast-food type places, including a Panda Express. Because lots of people eat there each day, it is common to find fortunes littered on the ground all over the place. Today, I was walking near one of the residence halls, and saw a fortune on the ground. I usually pick these up, because I love to play the fortune game. You know, the one where you add "in bed" after the text of the fortune.
Imagine my surprise on finding that it was not a complete fortune. Someone, probably the recipient of this fortune, had torn it in half. I began scanning the area for its other half, and found it about 15 feet away. Who would do such a thing? Bothering to tear such an insignificant thing in half. They must have been rather upset at their fortune for the day, which read:
"Many people are seeking you for their sound advice"
I had a good chuckle at the fact that someone was asking them for advice in bed, and set to wondering, who would be so upset or disappointed by this fortune that they would bother tearing it in half and scattering the pieces? I decided that someone on campus found themselves rather unappreciated, because no one really did go to them for advice. Perhaps some day I will find the mysterious fortune-ripper, and ask them, "I can't keep my bed tidy. Any advice?"

That's a really weird fortune: "Many people are seeking you for their sound advice" rather than "...for your sound advice." It's an odd way to phrase it...it leaves open the possibility, I think, that your advice isn't sound...and that many people might be wrong for coming to you for their fix. Maybe this fortune was opened by a person who gives really poor advice relatively frequently?
