Disobedient Nature by William Vervalsing

March 4th, 2008 8:09 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Search for, find, document an example of nature refusing to yield to or blending itself into a construction of modern man.

Document with photos when possible.

Examples should document situations where man has put up some restraint for nature and nature has disobeyed. While trees or other permanent plants are preferable, a basic example would be plants that grow in the cracks of the sidewalk.

These are a few rebelions that I've been noticing for a long time now... Particularly the ivy.
The first one would have to be my favorite though, I laughed out loud when I saw it.
I always wonder what it would be like if plants ruled the earth... I'll bet we'd drop most of the problems we have today. Then again, there would probably be different problems... With Nazi morning glory and Miracle Grow street dealers.
I guess I'll have to wait and see.

It is possible to be free even when born into imprisonment.

The slow takeover

All uprisings begin undetected.

Creeping back into power

Creeping back into power

This Ivy has been getting thicker for years... The city keeps cutting it back, and it keeps growing back. Some day soon it will become too massive to control and envelop every car in Vancouver. Mouahahahahahaha!
