One Letter Off by Delusions of Grandeur

October 2nd, 2008 1:17 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Find a sign, poster, advertisement or other publicly-displayed message that would be improved by (physically) changing a single letter. Make the necessary change.

Change a sign I did! Right across from my room in residence is a washroom which proudly displays the message "MEN". The designated women's bathroom is WAY on the otherside of the building. Seeing as our side of the building was mostly women, we decided the sign needed altering.

After that I came back to my room and decided I could alter another publicly-displayed message, one that would be familiar to any SF0 player who viewed this task. I altered 20 different items. See if you can find them all. (You may need to make the image larger, I have no idea how it will turn out on a webpage.)

There are 20 changes made to this image. Can you find all 20? (this excludes the number of players interested in collaborating, number complete and number currently working on task. Those numbers may have changed since I edited it)

The Spirit of the Task

Even though you didn't follow the task description to the letter, I think the second social need for this change outweighs the danger to our culture posed by straying from the one-letter restriction. As far as I am concerned, this was just a change from to . Nicely done.

Yeah, somehow this works, despite the second letter. Nice. (Though I do appreciate the followup site modification image, as a gesture toward tasking precision. It's also pretty entertaining.)

I don't know. I would have rather seen a more thoughtful deconstruction of gender here. Bathroom signage is just begging for it.

I really like this completion +1

Because it seems like no matter where you go.
The women's restrooms are always the most inaccessible.

And if the sign is still altered.
I'd like to suggest to add one more thing to add if possible.
