Just before Burning Man, Star5, Inktea, Oliver X, and I devised a plan to bring the concept of sf0 to the playa... on paper.

We hauled a silver file cabinet to the desert, we filled it with player, task, and proof sheets, we devised some basic rules, we made up a few basic tasks, and we set it loose in center camp cafe.

We called it BRC0

One of the tasks which was created was to move the BRC0 cabinent somewhere else in center camp cafe, which is how it ended up in the middle of that photo with everyone around it. One task had you create a player portrait. Other tasks made you go on adventures to find things.

It was great in theory. One problem is that we didn't quite finish enough of it before going to the desert. Also, it's easy to get distracted at Burning Man and that made it a little difficult to keep up with. So while some got enjoyment out of it, and everyone who understood was at least amused by the idea, i think it was possibly too complicated in a place where there are too many distractions to really live up to its potential.
