Bigger, Better, or More Bizarre by Geronimo, Under the Sea

INSTRUCTIONS: A scavenger hunt with a twist...

Team up with another player (or thirty). Each player or team begins with a small, cheap item, such as an unsharpened number 2 pencil or a cotton ball. Offer these items to innocent bystanders in a trade for something bigger, better, or more bizarre. Repeat the process with the next item you acquire, and the one after that, for a set amount of time (1.5 hours is usually enough to produce absurd results), photographically documenting each trade.

At the end of the game, regroup with your fellow players and compare the spoils of your efforts. Whoever ends with the biggest, best, or most bizarre item wins.

Late one night or very early one morning we set out to achieve this task at the crazy world of a British festival. I mean we thought 'who would be more up for swapping and exchanging a range of items than people who decide not to wash, shit on days worth of other people's shit, stand in the rain dancing and singing and definitely do not drink or take drugs?!' Oh but how wrong we could be, this task is a lot harder than you think, especially when you are met with dubious people that think you are a Kyle McDonald wannabe (the guy that managed to exchange a red paperclip for a house 14 swaps later!) but then it could have been the wine that made us do some possible bad moves even though it also made us excellent talkers and traders!

So our adventure began on the walk back to our comfy, cosy tent that we called home...

Along the way we met some interesting people and had some interesting conversations...I just wish I could remember them more to provide better evidence!

All in all people didnt seem to have too many interesting things on them that they wanted to trade, but I think in festival terms having people give away plastic cups on which they have a deposit, beer, a gas canister and very valuable toilet roll I think we did reasonably well! Alas... No house at the end.

Ye Olde map ar arrgh took us through ye magical woodland meeting plenty of little cardboard creatures a'ong ye way. Unfortunately we didnt win ye daily prize for our efforts tho. :(

Fear not commrade I have the goods...well minus the socks they had to go Im afraid! But our coin is worth 46p...and I am going to Croatia in a couple of weeks...get in! I shall swap it there for something from across the sea...I dont want to stop...Kyle you have inspired me!

It was the Latitude festival.

I recon that we split the objects half and half and see who can get the most on our hols. Me in bonnie scotland, you in croatia. Accept or Decline??

Do you mean split the coin, badge and big fridge magnet in half...as in cut them all in half or distrupt them between us?! We could also throw a pair of socks in there considering thats what we ended up with?! cuz yeah i'll be up for that.

I think its illegal to cut valid coins in half, but I may have heard that from my Mum, and she makes stuff up. Take a sock each and challenge the new owners to find one another!!

Genious idea with the socks!! Think we might devalue our items somewhat if we do actually cut them in half, was thinking more along the lines of 2 each kinda thing.
