July 16th, 2007 11:33 AMSo our adventure began on the walk back to our comfy, cosy tent that we called home...
Along the way we met some interesting people and had some interesting conversations...I just wish I could remember them more to provide better evidence!
All in all people didnt seem to have too many interesting things on them that they wanted to trade, but I think in festival terms having people give away plastic cups on which they have a deposit, beer, a gas canister and very valuable toilet roll I think we did reasonably well! Alas... No house at the end.

Now they are trying to sell the idea to me through their eyes...a crisp packet?! this is rubbish quite literally!
But wait!

Possibly the best exchange the packet for a cup! But this is a magic cup that in order to encourage you to recycle is in fact worth £2 due to a deposit you have to pay Excellent now we are back on track with a profit!
whats it gonna be?!

A suprise swap. The cup for......... This man promised us something special we took a gamble... (All that was going around my head was this is work £2 £2 £2 £2 come on £2 £2!!)
Mitosis

GOD BLESS WELFARE PEOPLE!!!!!!! A buisness card for: A treasure map, two chocolate condoms, two strawberry condoms AND a pair of ear plugs. Bargin!!

A pack of coconut rizlers for a beer. Now remember we are at a festival here...beer is very important!
Why we kept the map and not the beer is beyond me!

A can of beer for a gas canister. Yes the man would rather drink than eat...good thinking!

A gas canister for a huge roll of toilet paper. Might not look great but its a valuable comodity at a festival!
Didnt we start with a badge?!

um toilet roll went for a badge... umm urr right ok then. Not quite sure how this happened I blame that box of wine and the fact its taken us so long to get to our tent that the sun is rising!
Morning

the empty cigarette tin for... "a power rangers spaceship made from gold dust. " yes thats what she said and yes it was truely amazing, a must have for all.
He needed it to get home.

The piece of foil... oh sorry the gold dust spaceship for a pair of very dirty socks.

Ye Olde map ar arrgh took us through ye magical woodland meeting plenty of little cardboard creatures a'ong ye way. Unfortunately we didnt win ye daily prize for our efforts tho. :(
I wish i could remember what we ended up with or where it went.
Fear not commrade I have the goods...well minus the socks they had to go Im afraid! But our coin is worth 46p...and I am going to Croatia in a couple of weeks...get in! I shall swap it there for something from across the sea...I dont want to stop...Kyle you have inspired me!
Is there anything you could take up to Scotland General G? What festival were you at btw? looks like you had fun : )
It was the Latitude festival.
I recon that we split the objects half and half and see who can get the most on our hols. Me in bonnie scotland, you in croatia. Accept or Decline??
Do you mean split the coin, badge and big fridge magnet in half...as in cut them all in half or distrupt them between us?! We could also throw a pair of socks in there considering thats what we ended up with?! cuz yeah i'll be up for that.
I think its illegal to cut valid coins in half, but I may have heard that from my Mum, and she makes stuff up. Take a sock each and challenge the new owners to find one another!!
Genious idea with the socks!! Think we might devalue our items somewhat if we do actually cut them in half, was thinking more along the lines of 2 each kinda thing.
Very snazzy stuff. Drunken festival exchanges! I look forward to the travels of the socks.
