So, I wasn't sure what to make, though I figured I'd make a little box, 'cause that's something I make. I certainly don't need any more. But a box requires inspiration.

Then I went to a mermaid carnival/parade. This was inspiring.


So I decided to make a mermaid box. I pulled out likely materials.


Fish!


Beach!



Mermaid!


While making the mermaid box, the cat pointed out that it was a good sized gift for gummies. So, in the process of doing another task, The Beauty of the Other 71%, which we were collaborating on with Sparrows Fall and Evil Sugar, I gave it to Evil Sugar to give to the gummies. It suddenly occurred to me how very appropriate it was to give it to her at this particular time, during this particular task (seriously, I'm slow sometimes, and it hadn't occurred to me before).



Evil Sugar thanked me on the gummies' behalf.



Later she sent the following:

The gummies are absolutely delighted with their gift! The orange
gummy examined the outside of it, and noticed that there were fish.
This seemed exceedingly appropriate because in the wild, bears eat
fish. Evil Sugar helped them open the box, and they all gathered
around to look at it. They were very happy to see that the box had
things inside (gummies like objects that have smaller objects inside).
Then the yellow gummy went inside the box, and noticed that the
mermaid's hand was at just the perfect height for scratching gummies
behind the ears!

They thank Rainy very much for such a lovely and appropriately sized
gift. With Evil Sugar's help, they have placed it on the bookshelf,
next to the picture of the giant whale.
