Night Photography by Rather Dashing
February 8th, 2008 12:49 PM / Location: 35.308471,-80.72290On this particular night, it was actual snowing as far south as Charlotte, NC. Being from Canada, I was forced to endure a christmas without snow; my trip to Canada for new years shortly after helped save my sanity. So needless to say, seeing snow down here, even a tiny bit, was pretty friggin' awesome. Many other people agreed -While at times on my 4-hour walk I felt like the only boy alive, at other times, i'd happen upon a mass snowball fight, in the middle of the night. Which was wonderful in itself, because everytime someone managed to hit me, i'd just pelt them back with 4 more and they'd give up. Evidently, not seeing much snow makes for an overall lack of training in snowball fights!
All in all, a good night. Pictures below.
- We actually had a snow day the day after (even though there wasnt anything more than mild damnpness on the roads), which helped me catch up on the sleep I missed out on wandering around all night. =]

Mass snowball fights: pretty frigging awesome.
I like your character name. And I like that someone else isn't sick of the snow.
Good as it is, doesn't the bit at the start show that this is really a retroactive completion? Just thought I'd say...
My goodness, this is pretty. And I gotta say, you look tired and content with a job well done in the last photo.
I'm inspired now. I'm gonna go do this late at night in my neighborhood.
I suppose I hadn't noticed the task yet at the time that the pictures were taken. If that's violating some rule, i'll gladly take this down.
I love the way that the night mode on your camera makes the world into gold leaf.
Swimming pools on snowy nights always kill me, I love it.
That green tree. That awesome awesome green tree!
