Eat a food that frightens you.
Dashing
To start with, Dashing enjoys his candy. He enjoys it a whole darn lot. As such, the first truly frightening things we could think of were the interesting fare at our nearby candy store, Candy Mountain.
Once there, we found four quite interesting things: Thrills, a gum that 'tastes like soap' (which I had remembered from years back and had found quite gross), both chocolate covered and flavoured crickets, and something the shopkeep recommended, being 'bean-boozled' beans.
As for the crickets, they came in sour cream and onion flavouring, salt and vinegar... or bacon and cheese. Being the intrepid taskers we are, we decided to go for the most disgusting sounding of these, being obviously the latter.
We headed over to Tim Horton's, our local awesome Coffe Shop here in Canada, and purchased drinks to clear our palette, and gain something familiar, in the midst of all this culinary grossness. Pictures below!
Radical:
For my second task ever the Radical thought it would be fun to try something I would never do.
Bugs frighten me. Alive or dead, insects and small crawly things are just unpleasent. The train of thought then moved onto what better way to get back at them for being so creepy than to actually eat one!
We started off the meal with the gum that tastes like soap. A warm-up for the task that was to come. It tasted like... soap, with a hint of cinammon and sugar. We then headed to the nearest Tim Hortins for a place to sit and get drinks that would be used to dull the pain.
There is nothing less enjoyable in the world than having your love of chocolate ruined by a little crunch.

by FAR the worst flavour.

this included onion powder, and both blue and cheddar cheese flavourings. among other things.
gross face!

at this point, about 5 black pepper jellybeans had build up (I kept getting unlucky!) and I had given up on recording the scores in my journal (right)
