The bottom portion of the photograph is a Secret Self Portrait created in a completely dark bathroom with my trusty Pentax K-1000 set on Bulb; After mentally framing the two main elements (which were the skull and myself), I photographed each one (the skull and myself), by waving a Mini-Maglight over the respective subjects, and adjusting the focus as needed.
I then developed the negative and processed it the same evening in said bathroom in Seattle 5 years ago.
T-Max rules!!!
The reason I call this my SSP is that it is representative of my view of pretty much everything, and death is a very serious topic most people shy away from.
For whatever it's worth, whoever you all are are the first to see this...yadda yadda hey.
The top two images get a little more complicated.
They are my nieces.
Both I and my sister were adopted and neither of us have bothered to legally find out where the fuck we both came from because we neither need to nor care to know, but we're here...Awesome parents we have.
I've taken the route of not siring, while my sister has taken the route of karmic payback by adopting two infants Baylee & Reganne), from a truly smelly, nasty, horrid part of China.
My sister has bigger balls than I.
I'm currently engaged in an "Art Battle" with both of them wherein I make something for them, and they make something for me. My favorite artistic response so far is a clumpy smear of glitter and glue from Baylee called "The Sky"...it's amazing.
From them I have re-learned the art of scribbling and making things for the mere enjoyment of it, the mere creation process, the moment when when it is finished, it IS finished.
Me and Them

The Universe...

...is composed of water and oil with just a few dollops of balsalmic vinegar and orange juice whupped in for contrast and planets. The ghostly thing just might be God, a Stormtrooper, or the reflection from a poorly positioned flash. Spooky!!!
