Hmmmm...
The spirit of this game is to examine and challenge "normal" ways of doing things on many levels. One level is artistic, and one artistic "norm" is the idea of copyright and where the boundaries of copyright begin and end.
In this case, it is possible that fair use comes in, from a legal standpoint, and that no copyright has been breached. It is also a truism that using items like this in this way is fine as long as the copyright holder doesn't object (and courtesy to take it down if they do, copyright infringement or no).
I won't speak for Cassandra, but my guess is that the image speaks to her in a way that conveys something she identifies with. This is all that is important for this task. She needs no camera nor an ability to make recognizable marks. This image suffices.
If it isn't copy written, it does display a lack of creativity. But either way...I don't think this player is even active.
I would disagree on the creativity part as well. Choice is as much an act of creativity as application. Look at Marcel Duchamp's readymades.
And it says that Cassandra logged in today, so if she was inactive, she's active now.
I think I might actually have to agree with Sushin on this one.
For the most part, I can see how one would use an anime character as teh player... but at the same time, originality wins
DS
This is a copy written photo. (It still has a logo at the bottom actually)
I advise you to take it down and, if you dont have a camera, draw your own.
