This is a silly praxis.

And so, at just past twenty-four minutes to two on the dot, we set off!
Wow we're like proper serious mountaineers aren't we?
Slemish is renowned across the world for being ludicrously steep. Only in mountaineering circles though. No-one else really knows about it. This photo has been taken with the camera held at a 45 degree angle. "At 45 degrees to what?" you may ask. I would reply, "45 degrees to where the ground normally is" which, considering that the Earth is round, is a fairly ludicrous concept but you all still know what I mean so whatever, we'll run with it.
In the photo above, you may see a ledge near the top right corner. I don't, but I've been assured it's there, and that that's where we headed next.

Yes these are quite nice photographs. They make us look sort of reckless. Sort of.
JUST OVER EXACTLY 25 MINUTES LATER...

The peak of the mountain comes into view. And not a moment too soon! Interestingly, in the during the period of missing time (we'll call it "The Documentary Dark Age"), a number of proper serious mountaineers made their way down the mountain. They passed us, and did not seem pleased at the severe lack of equipment we'd brought. We lol'd.

Come on! You're almost there man! Just a few more steps!

Something else Slemish is renowned for across the phone is having a number of things that look like peaks but aren't. I mean, you'd think that the top of this would be the top of the mountain, but no...

I mean, sure it's not as steep, but we'd been climbing for nigh on forty-two minutes! Luckily, it actually ends soon.

Oh yes. We finally made it through this gruelling ordeal.

And now all we had to do was get back down.
Which was actually the fun part...
And then, at pretty much exactly ten past three:
