I voluntarily attended a graduation that I knew was going to be around 5 hours long and then sat in the car in traffic for an hour after that. The graduating class contained 2041 students. There was an hour and a half wait period between arriving at the graduation and when the procession started. The procession lasted close to an hour. Then the speeches started. There were many. After the speeches (or during, I really can't recall and it was only a couple of days ago) awards were handed out and the student's name, hometown, and hobbies were listed. Finally 2041 names were read. And then there was congratualtions. And then I sat in the car for an hour in traffic. Throughout the day, I sneezed. I did not have to go to this event. I chose to.

What about the second half of the task?

I used to be a nanny, and I went to one of my kid's graduations and it was the longest, most boring official ceremony I've ever attended... and I used to work for a government entity!
What's boring about a graduation ceremony? These young people are the FUTURE! :P
