This is one of a series of task salvaged from the previous era. As I complete tasks from bygone days, I will slowly begin to add tasks from the present day. In other words, bear with me, people, I'll catch up eventually. Thanks ever so, TAD.
In May, my dear friend annnna sent me a penny in the most delightful way, making my day and possibly giving me the best surprise of my life. I promised to return the favor.
Well, summer came and went, and I had still not fulfilled my promise. I didn't have annnna's address, a particularly shiny penny or a clever way of sending it to her. School started, and now I knew that she was all the way at UCB, leaving me even more at a loss.
Then, a miracle. In Chem, we all brought in pennies, dated pre-1980, and, through no small amount of chemical wizardry, turn them golden. Not gold, mind you, but golden. It looked cool.

So, I had an amazing sun-bright penny. But how to send it? I thought, and deciding that it would be too obvious to ask annnna where she lived (not to mention a little weird), resolved to simply play the postman and give it to her the next time I saw her, which was in about three weeks.
Well, I'm an idiot. The next time I saw her, she gave me an amazing SF0-related picture for my birthday, and I gave her nothing. I had left the penny at home.
I saw her the next day, at the Treasure Island Music Festival, and, after failing repeatedly, finally gave annnna the penny she deserved.

So, no matter what the fate of this praxis may be-whether I am flagged for lack of evidence or failure to actually "mail" the penny- a weight has been lifted of my back, because a dear friend gave me a gift, and I returned the favor.

I am confused by the new voting system. But, VOTE!! Hooray. I have my golden penny with me right now actually. Treasure Island was super fun.
