INSTRUCTIONS: Explore your neighborhood in deepest, darkest night.

Share photographs and other impressions of your exploration.

This happened in the middle of my http://sf0.org/Torsten/Super-Glued/ super glued task when iwas still level one and unable to post. It was such warm comfortable evening there was just no way to stay indoors. I live right off the panhandle and yeah, "the darkest place" taken literally would be found inside the half inch cracks between the houses or in the paint chip and cigarette ashen wastelands under your back steps but but I wanted to look for the beauty in organic shapes.

I feel pretty well exposed to the line form and grace, however beautiful, of the human constructed world that we're all swimming in. I love it. I moved here form the only intact ecosystem left in the 48 states to drink from it. But you know, I fella's gotta see a tree once in a while too so I walked up the panhandle, it's the least human orchestrated or sculpted place in my hood. In a way, it's the darkest.

Its dark physicaly too, the light is very dim so I shot almost everything below with a 15 second exposure. Passing blinkies from the bike path read as dashed lines through the frame, but I wasn't just bikers at 2am, lots of local color was out in in the unuasly warm night. I walked from one end at Baker to Stanyan and back and shot whatever looked worthy.

Street lights are the only light source strong enough to help register an image

I wanted to capture the drape of the branches as they curve around you on the path before autumn claims them

I voted because the blinky lights look like laser fire.
