um....amazing? i can't believe you got invited to the house of slow fooders! what ridiculous luck. i'm no slow fooder really, but i know what makes good food, and this just seems amazing. am jealous. good job.

Ya, that's true. I suppose i should've mentioned that. It is pretty much the case with the leaves of any plant...the younger ones have less tannins, different amounts of various other chemicals, and are just more pliable and nice to consume. So, thanks for pointing that out. I had just been interested recently in what consumable items there were around here in the winter, that hardest time to find food, so decided to experiment with that. I definitely plan on giving it another go when i can get some spring needles.

I hope that in your real last day, you might have more friends around. I guess if i had a last day i might spend it alone too, but knowing that i wouldn't be around tomorrow i might want to see people i enjoy. I suppose it saves one from goodbyes taking up the whole day. I agree with some of the others here that i don't think i could wholeheartedly attend to all the things i'd want to do and still end up able to actually continue my life if i took on this task. So anyway, nice job...it really feels like someone's last day.

i think that reading the text was pretty key for me. Also, as previously noted the large bar and the fact that the computer had trouble playing it make it all the more noteworthy. you should come over to my family's house for christmas for a concert. we could tie the cats to the tree and have a sing along. fnord.

nice tasking! unfortunately i find the whole thing unsettling to the utmost, especially the fractal version due to my recent reading of tim powers' Fault Lines "trilogy". but, maybe that just makes it all the better. also, i'm not sure i could really figure out how to make a temporary tattoo, so points for style too.

hardcore. well, hopefully they can someday come to terms with their inabilities and insecurities in order to at least be civil with you. good luck with getting a response. i imagine just sending the letter has probably lifted a lot off of your shoulders. take care.

so...i am both astonished and upset by these photos. i have been thinking for a long time of getting a tattoo based on some symbols from esoteric alchemy, something that i never thought i'd see on a different person....and one of these dudes, almost for sure, has it. what random luck. that's amazing.

i'd argue that scrimshaw isn't particularly a lost art. i think something like alchemy or the process of making Damascus steel would be closer to a lost art. actually, i've spent time reconstructing medieval german longsword from old manuals written in the 1600's. i have also reconstructed with friends an ancient viking game. so, i think THAT is lost art. anyway, i'm not UoA of HC, so i can't use those without association with someone, and there just isn't time before the new era. just saying. scrimshaw=not lost. there are other things out there.

ya....i spent a LOT of time out there as a child and adolescent. i'm also quite glad i didn't fall in the water, thanks for the concern. :)
