Saucy Tales by Vena Nightmare

INSTRUCTIONS: Every ancient condiment in the back of your fridge is a tale of neglect and abandonment. Tell us yours.

I haven't been on here in ... forever. And so much has happened, like I'm in college and of age. This task was in my queue, so here it goes with the kind of person I am now.

The kind of person that uses her minifridge in her dorm room primarily for storing the party.

Door Shelves, from left to right
-Stawberry jam made by my grandfather's wife for Christmas that I have not touched (yet?)
-A packet of carrots that I got with a food order as a side, that I will probably throw out
-Tea, my mother gave this to me to use as a mixer because she was worried about my alcohol consumption. I'm not sure if it has an expiration date, but I should probably throw it out...
-(top) an almost empty bag of cinnamon swirl bread that I took from the cafeteria to eat on a snow day, and I will probably throw out
-Two bottles of grenadine syrup, that I use to make Shirley Blacks, one nearly empty
-One jar of maraschino cherries, empty. I swear I promise to use the juice for this, and I don't just have an empty jar
- Another tea from my mother. I used it a little in desparation but I think it's really off and I plan to pitch it

Bottom
-Ginger ale I got from a nearby wawa to use as a mixer in lieu of my usual ginger beer, half empty (and probably flat)
-Ouzo I bought in Athens last summer. Saving for a special occasion- also it tastes like licorice and I'm not a fan. I do recommend it though, if only because it turns blue and cloudy when added to water, and that's cool.
-A toothpick. Once, the Cheese Club at my school had an event with lots of fancy cheeses- I went and got a ton of free samples to come back and eat with my wine. This is left over from that.
-(front) a hair band. I don't know???
-(front) a singly chopstick. I made lipstick with coconut oil once and I used the chopstick to get it out of the container. I used to keep the lipstick in the fridge, so I guess that's why that's there.
-(back) Wine from Colonial Williamsburg, bought for me by my bigs (in my greek org). I'm saving it for a special occasion.
-Grand Marnier liqueur, orange & cognac. My mom gave this to me after she was done cooking with it. She was appalled I didn't think 40% was a lot (hence the mixers).

Upper Shelves
-Maraschino cherries, one brand name jar and one Farm Fresh jar. For Shirley Blacks.
-Three cans of pineapple juice. This stuff tastes terrible. I have it to mix with my banana and coconut alcohol, but it just tastes noxious. I don't know what I'm going to do with it!
-A salad from a place on campus. "Peruvian Palm" salad. It tastes awful. I'm going to throw it out.
-Three sticks of butter. I am not super sure why I have this, but I think it's been there over a month. It still tastes good though, so I don't know.

So there you have it. My praxis is a little rough, it's been a long while! Good to be back, though.
