"JOCKEY'S RIDGE is the tallest natural sand dune system in the Eastern United States." Cool, I said to myself, I'll go there and stand at the very top.
My mom drove for two hours to get me there, and I thank her for that (although she strongly disapproves of my sun parasol). When we got there we walked from the visitor's center through the freezing, wet sand (I took off my nice shoes, and for some reason the sand is always wet) to get to the dunes. Once there we admired the sights and stayed for a while, taking pictures and such. There was an array of interesting characters, one of which was a group of girls who danced and wrote in the sand "I like the desert b/c it's clean".
All in all, it was a fun day- although my brand new wonderful camera broke, which is very depressing.
