For this task I created dominoes made of cake.
I used the butter cake recipe from The Simple Art of Perfect Baking by Flo Braker substituting the milk for water and adding a little baking soda. I also baked the cake in a 9x12" pan instead of two 8" round cake pans. For the frosting I used the Bittersweet Chocolate Frosting recipe from the same book using four less tablespoons of butter than directed.
After the cake finished baking my attempt to get it out of the pan resulted in the breaking. I cut little rectangles off the pieces of the semi-destroyed cake and mashed them with my hands to form more perfect shapes. Next I prepared the frosting and frosted the tops of most of the little cakes. Than I took the white chocolate chips bought by my mother a few hours earlier and pushed them onto the frosted tops. On some of the larger ones I was able to fit more then one on each side. I then played with my cake dominoes.
Even though I played with myself and most of the dominoes were ones (both things making the game incredibly easy), I actually had a ton of fun!

A vote for yummy dominoes!
I vote for perseverance. At the point of cake-crumble, I think I would have given up. You, however, have perfectly functional dominoes.
I am now inspired to make bread pudding myself.
