Cool Memories by Under the Sea

July 17th, 2007 7:22 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Examine how a contemporary historical event either did not happen or was our fantasy.

The apparent terrorist attack that was going to involve liquids was meerly a fantasty made up by the world wide governments to gain more money. It never was going to happen and was meerly a long, elaboriate plan playing on peoples fear of terror to make people spend more money in the over priced airport shops.

FACT: you have to spend a small fortune on buying a drink to take on board once cleared through security in order to remain hydrated and refreshed through your journey especially if you are flying long haul. "You can 'fly with everything you buy' once you're through security, so if you want a drink for the plane, get it in duty- free." - Why thank you very much, how kind of you to offer that I spend more money.

FACT: if travelling with hand luggage (which you would have probably had to rebuy, spending yet again more money, in order to fit the new requirements!) only for a short break the only way you can remain normal and clean with deodrant, shampoo, toothpaste, make up etc is to check luggage in, which conviently small airlines CHARGE you for or to re buy everything you probably already own and can no way use up in time for your return flight so would probably have to end up throwing away.

and I quote, "Security experts believe explosives disguised as a liquid would not be able to destroy an airliner" from http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6108546.stm

"Since the 11 September attacks, the government has introduced restrictions on hand baggage, a ban on liquids on board and, more recently, measures to move vehicles further away from terminal buildings." http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6898576.stm

All of these restrictions have meant that an individual has to spend more money one way or another, which the government gains from that nasty thing called TAX!

Nice.
