Doodle Derive by Heathcliff

June 14th, 2009 8:14 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Cast aside your normal motivations for drawing. Draw things that attract you on things that attract you.

I learned the main difference between german, and japanese made glass.
It is clear that japanese glass is superior for drawing on!
The german glass takes ink a little too well, which is good for simple designs, but japanese glass tends to make your ink bead up a little more making the lines thinner and darker.

I drew a series of hindu gods onto four vintage camera filters

hindu gods + vintage camera filters= one very happy Heathcliff

Sorry my pics are sort of blurry, the only lens i have is this big ol' outdoor lens which means more easily under-exposed which means larger aperture which means smaller focal range which means badly focused images..... in other words i forgot to pump up the iso and or flash :(

But enough of all that blabberin' and on to the pictures!
