Time (and medical attention) Heals All Wounds by Alek van Arki
August 25th, 2008 10:50 PM

My praxis for this task is not all that impressive; I had an ingrown toenail cut out. Now granted, this is not what I would first think of when I think of a wound, but the healing process didn't start until my surgery (it got infected and was actually getting worse).
Anyway, my mom's friend performed the surgery and I had to get like ten shots to numb the area. Ironically, the medicine burned quite a lot. I've always thought I had a strong stomach. I was mistaken. While I was still waiting for the toe to go numb, I started to feel sick. That passed shortly after but my mom's friend wouldn't let me watch anymore. Well, I wasn't completely numb but I said I was anyway; I figured I could tough out any pain she dealt me. When she began to cut, all I felt was pressure. When she started to dig out nasty tissue, I gritted my teeth and beared with it. She saw this and hit me, telling me to let her no if it hurt. After that, I could barely feel anything. So she wrapped my toe and I left.
The day after, I had to put band-aids on it. I still couldn't feel it but I wouldn't care if I did; we were supposed to start playing badminton in raquet sports that day and if I missed out, I was going to be really bummed. Well we didn't get to play at all so I was only kinda bummed.
But the rest of my story is kinda uninteresting. At least, as far as I can think right now.

"She saw this and hit me, telling me to let her no if it hurt."
This praxis is smackin' good.
