INSTRUCTIONS: Make and use a stone tool. Neither the tool nor its method of construction need be traditional.

Used a stone and clay mixture to make a mold for making beads. It is a traditional method used in the Eastern region of Ghana so despite this task specifically mention the unnecessity of tradition my task happens to be.

Essentially you take a stone or a slab of hardened clay, poke holes in it, place a stick in the middle of the hole and then pour powdered glass into the holes and then throw it into the fire. I'd say it is pretty Yabadabcool!

The little sticks in the middle eventually burn off when you throw it in the fire so the beads become round.
