Mic Night by avidd opolis

June 20th, 2006 1:09 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Perform in front of an audience, be it an open mic night, a karoke bar, or an amatuer figure skating contest.

Be sure to catalog your event.

Extra credit if you are afraid of the public.

At the beginning of the month my friends and I organized an adult spelling bee. It involved a lot of drinking so we called it the "buzzed bee". We reserved a space in a downtown gallery and made shirts and costumes and a trophy. I played the pronouncer, a catholic priest with a speech impediment. I was in front of a crowd for about two hours. I was pretty nervous and the show totally didn't go as planned, but it turned out okay. I've been in stupider productions in recent memory.

This sounds so freakin AWESOME! Do you have more pix or even some audio? Gawd I'd like to hear some of this task. Tell us more, what did the contestants in the spelling bee do? who won? what were the hardest words?
