INSTRUCTIONS: Position something (text, an image, an object, a combination of the above, or something else entirely) so that it requires a mirror to be understood. Make sure that one is available.

At first, I wanted to do mirrored text, but that seemed too intuitive, and I was hoping to go for something a bit more creative. So after a bit of thinking, I settled on a heart.

The heart is symmetrical, and it makes a statement. What better thing for random passersby to see? I ran into a bit of difficulty hanging it up in the bathroom, as I thought the mirror extended the length of the wall. But after a bit of creative paper folding, I was able to convince the heart to stick to the mirror.

It was small, but it seemed like it would do. Small does not always mean insignificant.

Half heart.

Half heart.

This is half of the heart.

Whole heart.

Whole heart.

This is the whole heart, completed by mirror.

Scene.
