Player Portrait by Beta Orionis

You may have noticed, I have been inactive, to say the least.
Let's spin it and just tell folks I've been away for a while,
on an Artist's retreat.
A retreat for one (maybe two.)
There I learned some things, such as: I can paint.
I did not know this previously.
Now I know, and the course of my life has changed.
So let me share a little bit with you.
Much other change, the best changes, I attribute to this man...

.
His is just as much a portrait of myself.
(apologies for the grayed-out, lack of contrast.
I need to varnish this still)
But just for good measure, I included my own. A quick, expressive gesture.

.
.
.
This kid also keeps me going.
He doesn't currently have a player picture,
or tasks to speak of, but if he did,
the photo would be this one,
and the tasks would be ones in which we collaborated.
Currently, he tasks enough in his own way.
One day, he will join us, and it will be awesome.

.
.
.
I may not know much, but I can tell you:
I love both males dearly.
I love SF0.
I love life again.
These are player portraits. These are our portraits. This is my portrait.
I have been away too long,
but I am better because of it.
So, hello again, old friend.

wow! you really can paint!
can one ermm... is there a way/method to discover this about ones self? =P
but very nice... keep painting! ^^
It's less of a joke than you think! (discovering this about one's self)
That's exactly what I did.
Before last February, I had never produced artwork beyond simple (and not very good) observational doodles in black pen. Occasionally, I tried to add some color, but not very much. I'd never even filled a tiny sketchbook in my life.
While taking a year off from school, I decided I would take some art classes just for the heck of it, to pass the time, and enrolled in beginning drawing, an introductory design course , and the beginning painting section. I painted the first two in April even though I had only ever done one little acrylic painting for a general high school art class. The last was completed, (sort of hurriedly) just recently.
