By the way, have you ever though of working a pun off "secret tangent" into your name?

Wait, I suppose your character need not be you. You may be a right bastard, but your character is a really nice character, in all matters not concerning your brother's character.

You're absolutely right. Welcoming people is great. We should celebrate it. Why confine welcomes to the narrow relationships enforced by outmoded social constructs? It's time to tear down those barriers between new and old, between past and future, between player and non-player.
