1 Blank White Card by Juliette

March 25th, 2008 1:09 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Play a game of 1000 Blank White Cards. Perhaps consider Fluxx for inspiration.

Take a picture or describe the best card in your game, decided by a vote, election, deathmatch, or what have you.

"All players shall speak in verse until another green card is drawn.
Your rhymes will go from bad to worse and your brains will soon be all gone."

We've played "Green Cards" for a long time and this is just absolutely the best (and hardest!) card to work with.

This is the best praxis of yet
because it only has one card.
The other praxis rock, but let
their ideas flow unbarred.

No one seems to know, you see
The task says one, the best, that's all.
It's great for creativity
But many makes for much appall.

It is not fair, five cards to post
Because when those who follow rules
post their card they love the most
it can't compete, although it gruels.

I cast my vote and hope to hear
from others that agree with me
You made me speak in verse, my dear.
With your one card, you still stand free.

~Verse Supervote from Tricia.
Thanks for following da instructions and making me happy. :D

The rules suck. Fight the power. POST ALL THE CARDS!

Your verse supervote shot my mind through like a bullet,
So I am reduced to only a couplet.

Actually I don't think there are any perfect rhymes for couplet! :O Or at least there aren't any that are good enough. Anyway! The main point of the challenge seemed to me to be finding your one BEST card. So I fought through miles of piles for this one.

@darkaardvark

I do agree most of the time
But I also like this card a lot
because it forces you to rhyme
and other cards do not.

And since you are getting all hyped
'bout fighting all the rules that suck
Vote on my praxis that was sniped
and wish us rebels best of luck.

@bottledmystery

Exactly.

Also, from here on out
I'm writing in rhyme and poetry
In all where I comment and shout
In honor of the green card entry

Too tired to rhyme
So haikus instead, okay?
They are easier. :|

Basic'lly, my point:
Thank you so much for all this!
I am quite flattered.

And as I'm a noob,
You are such a warm welcome.
This is most lovely.

(I cheat a fair bit.
Apostrophes can omit
Vowel syllables.)

The poems hurt my head
I wish to go to bed
Couple hours left of school
Oh, how very, very cruel

Although the task says to show the best,
Sometimes it's fun to show the rest!
Doing more than what the task describes,
It better than not doing enough...

Damn.
