Add a Useless Rope by Rin Brooker, Goddess of Doom and Thievery

May 5th, 2009 11:14 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: I seldom find in my adventures that a rope has been positioned in a way which fascinates me without being helpful, such as perhaps turning a piece of public art and a tree into the supports for a giant spiderweb.

Install a useless rope or string.

Rin:Goddess of Doom and I were lonely the other day so we decided to get together and task. We went through a few ideas and landed on Add A Useless Rope.

Goddess: As per usual, I had boy troubles so it was really that I was lonely....
And I had time to kill after work. So, I went to hang with Rin. Yes, I was still wearing most of my uniform, and I had a sandwich. I work at Subway.

Rin:So we took off to Lowes In the Goddess's ride and and found the rope section after a short episode of being lost. (btw, I just lost the game) I bought two packages of 50 foot rope- One for tasking and one for later.

We decided to put our rope somewhere where it would not only be useless, but disruptive and counter productive. A path near the local high school, Wasilla High, was a perfect place.

When one finds a rope across their path one often stops and some more obedient people turn away even if there is no visible reason for the rope to be there. We hope our rope has that effect on people, and if not that to at least make them wonder

Full points if you hide in the bushes and document strangers interacting with your rope.

Every praxis should have a portrait of the collaborators and a sandwich.
